Best time to visit: Plan your visit to Royal Amboise during the spring or autumn. During these times, the crowds are less, the weather is pleasant, and there are shorter waiting times, which lets you explore the castle comfortably at your pace.

Only children under the age of 7 years have free entry to the Château Royal d'Amboise all year round.
To avoid crowds, visit the attraction in the spring between March and May, or the autumn, which runs from September to early November.
You can expect to spend at least 2-3 hours at the attraction. During this time, you can explore the castle's various rooms and stroll through the gardens.
Unfortunately, private guided tours are not available for the Château Royal d'Amboise. However, visitors can take a self-guided tour using the Histopads, which are available for free from the reception. Histopads are available in twelve languages, including English, French, Spanish, and Italian.
